are the Policy changes in Catalog of
Undergraduate Programs, 2006-2008. The revised policies are shown.
Admission as a Degree Student
- Beginning with the fall 2008 freshman
class, the following will be required for
admission: minimum high school GPA of 2.25 on
a 4.0 scale in core subjects; a minimum ACT
score of 20 or SAT I score of 950; and
completion of no fewer than 17 core courses
including four years of English, three years
of social studies, three years of math
(including algebra 1 and 2, geometry, and
either algebra 3, pre-cal, trigonometry, AP
calculus, or other senior college-preparatory
math), three years of science (including two
with lab components),one year of foreign
language and three additional courses of the
student’s choice.
- Beginning with the fall 2007 freshman
class, regardless of date of high school
graduation, all applicants who have not
attended college or have earned less than 24
semester hours of college credit, will be
required to meet the minimum ACT or SAT score
requirement for admission.
